NORTH CAROLINA  – In a new Spectrum News 1 segment, Voices for Change, we hear from North Carolinians about their lives, struggles, and hopes for the future.

When a friend of this voice for change lost her son, Linda-Marie Miller stepped in to help. While helping, she says she was confronted by systems of racism that she'd never dealt with before. That experience ended up lighting a fire for Miller to fight so others don't have to endure what her friend did.
