- The airport will have bands playing holiday music, refreshments, and decorations this week
- PTI expects 20,000 passengers from Wednesday through Sunday
PTI expects more than 20,000 passengers from Wednesday through Sunday, but Kevin Baker, the executive director of the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority, wants to make traveling more enjoyable during the busiest time of the year.
“We're going to have a lot of entertainment for the travelers as they come through,” Baker says. “We're going to have a band playing, that kind of thing. Some refreshments for folks as they're coming off the airplane or getting on to their flights."
The music, refreshments, and decorations should help alleviate the stress of holiday traveling at the airport.
“We just always recommend that folks allow a little bit more time, get out here a little earlier. Just count on it being crowded, count on it being a busy day here and be prepared for that,” Baker said.
