RALEIGH, N.C. -- The NHL is officially in Phase 3 of its Return-To-Play plan, as teams around the league took the ice for what is being deemed as an "unofficial training camp".
The Carolina Hurricanes are one of those teams preparing for the 2020 postseason. They returned to the PNC ice for the beginning of a 2-week stretch of practices. They will then head to Toronto where the Eastern Conference hub will take place.
Sports anchor J.B. Ricks was on hand for their first official practice since the NHL shutdown began back in mid-March and he files this report.
