MORRISVILLE, N.C. – The Carolina Hurricanes announced Friday that they will move to a new practice facility at the Wake Competition Center for the 2020-21 season.

- The 115,000-square-foot Wake Competition Center will house two rinks and seasting for 1,700 spectators
- The Canes currently practice at Raleigh Center Ice
The 115,000-square-foot facility, which is under construction, will house two ice rinks and seating for 1,700 spectators. It will also have new locker rooms, equipment rooms, office space, and training rooms.
“It’s going to cost a lot of money to bring players in. ... This will be a major upgrade for us. This will be a big thing for us as we try to attract players," Hurricanes General Manager Don Waddell said.
The Hurricanes currently practice at Raleigh Center Ice.
