Gene Littles was inducted into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame earlier this year. He played and coached basketball from 1969 through 1995 and was a fifth round pick by the New York Knicks. Littles totaled over 4,000 points in his career as a player, as well as recording over 1,000 rebounds and assists. He played for the ABA's Carolina Cougars and Kentucky Colnels, while coaching with four different teams. He's been with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte Hornets twice, once as an assistant for each. He also coached North Carolina A&T as well as finishing his career with the Denver Nuggets.
