CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Carolina Panthers wrapped up their OTA's Thursday, as head coach Ron Rivera was in California for his daughter's graduation. With Rivera attending his daughter's graduation from UCLA, assistant coach Steve Wilks was in charge for the final day.

The Panthers' first round pick, Shaq Thompson, made his first appearance since finshing up school. Thompson left three weeks ago to finish classes at the University of Washington during their quarter system.

Thompson finished last season with 81 total tackles and one sack. He scored a season-high four touchdowns from the defensive side of the ball. He has a career total of five interceptions in three seasons with the team. Thompson was also utilized on offense, scoring two rushing touchdowns in his third year.
