Every election cycle voters are bombarded with statistics, accusations and promises from and about candidates. We pushed all that aside to introduce you to the candidates behind all that noise.

Loretta Boniti went home with Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Cheri Beasley to learn more about her and her life and what made her the person she is today. She was joined by Beasley’s husband, Curt, who shared stories of their life together.

Issues and ideals of candidates are important for every election, but this is an opportunity for voters to get to know the people asking for your vote.

Early voting in N.C. runs from Thursday through Nov. 5.  Election Day is Nov. 8.
