There are many different faces to this tragic epidemic and behind every face there is a story. 

In our documentary “The Opioid Epidemic: Carolina in Crisis” we will introduce you to three North Carolinians who will tell their personal struggles battling opioid addiction. 

Whitney Hanner gave birth to a baby boy only to have him taken away immediately to be treated for neonatal abstinence syndrome as a result of having pain pills in his system.
