MILWAUKEE — Wisconsin's upcoming Spring Election on Tuedsay, April 1st, has found itself in the national spotlight, most notably because of the attention President Donald Trump and adviser Elon Musk have put on Wisconsin Supreme Court race between conservative-leaning Judge Brad Schimel in his race against liberal-leaning Judge Susan Crawford.

"I do consider it a toss-up," said Professor Henrik Schatzinger, chair of the political science department at Ripon College. "There's a reason this much money is being poured into the race [because] there's so much at stake."

Those olitical donations continue to roll in ahead of the election, with estimates showing next week's Wisconsin Supreme Court race is already the most expensive judicial race in our nation's history.

"The fact that this is seen as a referendum on the Trump administration does push more national donors and out-of-state donors into this race," Professor Schatzinger said.
