KENOSHA, Wis. — A woman was found dead within a Lake Michigan break wall at Eichelman Park on Sunday, March 9 just before 5 p.m. Kenosha Police Department confirmed the woman on March 12 to be 18-year-old Kayla Sobczak of Kenosha.
Police said they were able to determine her identity with help from the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office and a forensic odontologist.
Sobczak’s family reported her missing to the Kenosha Police Department on Dec. 23. Her family said they last saw her on Dec. 17.
Police said her death is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective James Krein at 262-605-5280.
