Fayetteville homicide detectives are warning the public about a man they say is armed and dangerous and wanted in connection with the shooting death of a DoorDash delivery driver, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
Investigators say Kevin J. Holland worked at a nearby McDonalds, and Samori Husamudeen was a DoorDash driver. The shooting followed some kind of argument between the two, police said.
Arrest warrants have been issued for the 25-year-old suspect in the alleged killing of Husamudeen, police said. He was killed on the 5000 block of Santa Fe Drive the night after Christmas.
Holland will be charged with first-degree murder once arrested, police said.
“We are devastated by this tragic loss and our hearts are with Mr. Husamudeen’s loved ones,” DoorDash told Spectrum News 1 in a statement. “This was a horrible and tragic crime, and we stand ready to assist law enforcement in bringing the individual responsible to justice.”
Anyone who sees Holland is asked to call 911 or Fayetteville / Cumberland County Crimestoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477) immediately.
