  • The state Department of Health and Human Services released an autopsy report last week that said a cause of death could not be determined

  • James Dunmore, Watt's boyfriend who has been charged with murder in connection to her death, is scheduled for an administrative hearing Monday

The 39-year-old woman was last seen at her boyfriend's home in Charlotte in July.

Authorities discovered Watts’ body near the town of Norman in August.

Friends and family also organized a prayer vigil for Watts on Tuesday in Southern Pines.

The Montgomery County vigil came on the heels of the release of autopsy results in Watts' death.

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services says that after examining the body, the cause of death was undetermined.

Watts' mentor and friend Dorothy Brower said they are praying for more evidence to be revealed in the case.

"The autopsy is fresh on our minds," she said. "We want to hear more evidence that will prove and not leave any doubt as to the person that is being held and if there are any other persons responsible as well."

James Dunmore, Watts' boyfriend, was charged with murder in connection to her death.

An administrative hearing for Dunmore is scheduled on Monday.
