MATTHEWS, N.C. – A man was shot multiple times in the parking lot of a business along East Independence Boulevard in Matthews during a dispute Saturday morning, police say.

Witnesses took the wounded man to a hospital before officers arrived at the City Arcade at 9201 E. Independence Blvd. about 6:10 a.m., Matthews police said in a news release Saturday evening.

Officers are looking for a male suspect who left the scene in a dark, four-door Ford pickup with large tires and a bed cover.

The City Arcade describes itself on its website as a “skills-based sweepstakes adult arcade,” open from noon to midnight seven days a week.
