CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Northlake Mall was shut down Sunday afternoon after someone fired a gunshot in the area, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say.

It happened around 1:45 p.m. at the mall, located on Northlake Mall Drive. Police say someone fired a gun during a dispute between two people. No one was hurt. 

“This is an isolated incident and there is no active shooter,” police said around 3 p.m. “Mall officials have closed the mall for the day.”
