Williams died just after 3 a.m. Jan. 17. A 5-day report into his death, released Monday by the Raleigh Police Department, gives new details on what happened. Six officers are on administrative leave as the State Bureau of Investigation and the department's internal affairs unit investigate Williams' death.

According to the report, two police officers, named as First Class Officer C.D. Robinson and Officer J.T. Thomas, found Williams and another man in a car on the 800 block of Rock Quarry Road just before 2 a.m. Officer D.L. Aquino was also on the scene. They asked Williams and his passenger to get out of the car, the report states.

The officers searched Williams and found a folded up dollar bill with what appeared to be cocaine inside, according to the report. Police said Williams tried to pull away from officers as they were arresting him.

As Williams tried to get away from police, one of them used a Taser on Williams, and he fell down. Williams was able to run a little ways from police but fell again. He continued to struggle with police on the ground, the report states.

The passenger in the car ran as Williams fought with police, according to authorities. Three other officers arrived as Williams allegedly fought with police: Officers J.R. Scott, D.L. Grande and B.L. Ramge.

As six officers struggled with Williams on the ground, one of the officers used his Taser twice on "drive stun mode," with the Taser up against Williams' body. The officer used the Taser twice in 50 seconds.

"After the first drive stun, Mr. Williams can be heard on body worn camera saying, 'I have heart problems,'" according to the report.

Police called for an ambulance, but Williams stopped breathing as officers waited for EMS, the report states. Police began CPR before medics got there and took Williams to the hospital. He was pronounced dead at 3:01 a.m.
