A North Carolina gym has created challenges to keep people on track for their fitness resolutions.

What You Need To Know

  • National Quitters Day is the second Friday of each year

  • The most common resolutions for 2023 are improved health, improved fitness, weight loss and eating healthier, according to Forbes Health

  • A trainer in Hampstead, N.C., advises people to start small and be consistent in pursuing their resolutions

Logan McLamb from Coastal Fitness Center is helping her clients stick with their fitness resolutions with the Transformation Challenge 2023

“We set them up with all the right tools and to promote wellness and to promote those healthy habits that they can have for forever,” McLamb said.

Setting goals is the easy part — the hard part is achieving them.

“People start so gung ho and they're ready to do this, but then they get in here and they realize this is hard,” McLamb said.

The secret is to start small and stay consistent. Keeping people engaged on what’s next is one of the best ways to drive people to staying with their goals.

“I think that there are some people that are just in it to win it and they know what they want and they go get it,” McLamb said. “That's what's going to drive your client to get to the next level — trying a new workout when they're bored with the routine. That's what's going to keep them going."
