CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mecklenburg County Public Health will be offering several Saturday back-to-school immunization clinics starting July 30.

Children heading back to school will need to provide proof of the minimum required vaccinations within 30 days after the first day of school or they will not be permitted to attend. MCPH says all immunizations required by the state to attend school can be obtained at one of the upcoming clinics.

County public health officials say the Saturday clinics will be offered in addition to regular weekday appointments “to better meet the needs of busy families.”

The Big Shots Saturdays Back-to-School Immunization Clinics schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday, July 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Southeast Health Department located at 249 Billingsley Road in Charlotte
  • Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Northwest Health Department located at 2845 Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte
  • Saturday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a location that is TBD

Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations will also be available at the Saturday clinics.

MCPH says weekday immunization services are also available Monday-Friday at the Billingsley Road and Beatties Ford Road locations, as well as the Valerie C. Woodard Community Resource Center located at 3205 Freedom Drive in Charlotte.

Late clinic hours are available at the Billingsley Road and Beatties Ford Road locations only.
