CHARLOTTE, N.C. — We may be thousands of miles away from Ukraine, but that’s not stopping one Charlotte business owner from helping.

Former-teacher-turned crafter Kelly Wulinsky is using her business, Handmade in Waxhaw, to give back by making wooden heart earrings with the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

Seventy-five percent of the proceeds are going to a local fundraising group called SUPPORT UKRAINE CHARLOTTE, NC. They are sending things like medical supplies to people in Ukraine.

She started this at the end of March, and she’s already raised more than $600, and the sales keep coming.

People can pick the earrings up from her home or she can mail them. For pricing, you can check out her website.
