  • The game is at 6 p.m. at Cameron Indoor Stadium

Duke graduate students started camping out at Wallace Wade Stadium on Thursday night.

Students stay overnight in groups. One person from their group must be present at all times, and students have to check in every hour proving they're at their tent site. It's all in an effort to get a ticket to the UNC vs. Duke rivalry matchup.

Duke graduate student Alli Lobach doesn't have a ticket but is hoping to get to go to the game Saturday night.

Lobach grew up in Durham. Both of her parents went to Duke and camped out for basketball games. Now she is carrying on the tradition.

"We grew up being massive, massive basketball fans," Lobach said. "To even come here, my mom literally grabbed the tent from my parents' garage and drove all the way out here to give it to me.”

Students will camp until at 8 a.m. Saturday.

The game starts at 6 p.m.
