CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — Get ready, skiers and snowboarders: Bristol Mountain opens for the season at 9 a.m. Friday.

The Upper Rocket and Lower Rocket trails will be open for advanced skiers and riders only.

Terrain will not be available for beginner and intermediate skiers and riders.

Something to note before going: the ski resort has a new pass called the "Gateway Card."

It can be kept in your jacket and read electronically as you enter.

You can load the card with tickets and passes on the Bristol Mountain website.
