RALEIGH, N.C. — Three more mass vaccination clinics will be held at PNC Arena this week.

Wake County says it's due to the massive success of last week's clinics, with more than 1,000 people vaccinated. The state vaccine allotment for this coming week is allowing the clinic to run for three days; Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Wake County officials say they're aiming to get 4,300 shots into arms at PNC Arena. Wake County Public Health will be supply 3,300 doses, and Wake Med will be supplying 975 doses.

Officials say they've been making calls all weekend, and are still inviting more people to schedule appointments for these three days.

"We’re really excited to see these increase in doses here. Our model is a little different then what they've seen across the state. The PNC site is just the third site to our program here, and has the ability for us to move doses that we quickly get from the state out into the community as quickly as possible" says Ryan jury, the Wake County mass vaccination branch director.

As for further PNC mass vaccinations, Jury says it depends on if they're able to staff it, as well as the number of doses the state will allocate. Those numbers aren't released until later this week.
