ABERDEEN, N.C. — Justin Miller brought his young son with him to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore to possibly buy some things for their home in Pinehurst.
But Miller also took the time to climb aboard the biggest item ever displayed at that store: a 26 foot long MacGregor sailboat.
It was donated to Habitat for Humanity of the Sandhills. It’s a 2005 model, colored blue, with an outboard motor. The sailboat also has a kitchen and accommodations for six people.
The charity is holding an auction this weekend. All funds raised will be used to fulfill their mission of providing quality housing for people with low incomes.
Bids are starting at $10,000, and will continue until Monday morning at 9 a.m.
