RALEIGH, N.C. – Two months after losing his brother, things aren't getting any easier for Mark Banks.

“I still think he’s going to walk through the door. Like if he walked though the door it wouldn’t surprise me that much.  I know it’s not going to happen,” says Andy's younger brother Mark.

Andy Banks disappeared in September, after meeting up with a potential buyer for a Range Rover. Now, the man he was supposed to meet has been charged with his murder.

Friends of the family have been helping them find strength, assuring them Andy's memory won't be forgotten.

“He was just so good and so kind, so helpful to anyone and everyone," says Emily Ballard, a longtime friend.

Ballard helped create shirts reflecting who Andy was, from his love of the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the NC State Wolfpack Club. Many in his family attended the university.

The words "Live Like Andy" share his mantra for life.

"He just kind of lived life the way he wanted to," says Ballard.  "Just really soak up his friends and family  and enjoy every minute.”

In their time of grief, the Banks family is heartened by the outpouring of love and support.

“It’s been very comforting to see everyone reach out and want to know what they can do to help and encourage me and my family that Andy’s legacy will live on, even though he’s not physically here," says Mark Banks.

Profits from the shirt sales will go to the NC State Wolfpack Club, benefitting NC State athletes.
