NORTH CAROLINA — Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is expecting some help in the final weeks before Election Day and that help is coming from Barack Obama.

The former president is planning to make solo appearances in battleground states with North Carolina among those being considered for a visit. The campaign hasn't yet released a schedule for President Obama's appearances.

Aside from speaking during the Democratic National Convention, he's been a somewhat infrequent presence during the campaign so far.
