CHARLOTTE, N.C. — There’s no taste like home.
In Charlotte, a city always looking for the latest trend, Londa’s Place serves up comfort classics the way you expect.
“We weren’t looking for the new, the fancy, the shiny, the glitzy [food trend],” Londa’s Place owner Yolanda Crowder said. “We just want it to feel like home.”
Yolanda and her husband opened the restaurant to serve up handmade, finger-licking soul food. All with a southern hospitality that some of the corporate-owned, Instagram-inspired hotspots can’t replicate.
“I like getting to know my customers and learning their children’s names,” Yolanda said. “I'm a part of this community. I live here.”
If home is where the heart is, home cooking is where the stomach lives.
