BLOWING ROCK, N.C. – Tweetsie Railroad has had to close again due to COVID-19.

The park announced Monday that they received notice from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services that they were not allowed to run their signature Train ride, which was one of the few attractions they had previously decided to open during their initial reopening phase.

The park says they have no choice now but to close and cancel several popular upcoming events such as K-9s in Flight, Railroad Heritage Weekend, and Ghost Train.

The park hopes to be able to reopen in time for Christmas.
