CONCORD, N.C. – Amazon Logistics has signed a lease to open a new Charlotte-area delivery station in Cabarrus County.

The new station will allow Amazon to speed up deliveries for customers in the Charlotte metro area. With over 150 stations throughout the U.S., Amazon Logistics can add capacity and flexibility to their delivery services.

The new station will create jobs for hundreds of people, paying them a minimum of $15 per hour and offering various benefits packages.

“We are excited to continue to invest in the state of North Carolina with a new delivery station that will provide efficient delivery for customers, and create hundreds of job opportunities for the talented workforce,” said Amazon Spokesperson, Ashley Lansdale.

Along with the new Concord delivery station, four more delivery stations are set to launch in North Carolina in 2020. The delivery station locations include Cary, Durham, Kernersville, and Mills River.

Delivery stations also offer independent contractors the opportunity to create their own schedules and deliver for Amazon Flex.
