GREENSBORO, N.C. – Several murals created by local artists during the Black Lives Matter protests are being preserved in the Greensboro History Museum.

Curator of collections Jon Zachman spoke with artists and store owners Wednesday to learn about the stories behind the artwork.

Zachman says the stories and history behind these murals will be on display, alongside the artwork at the museum.

“It's a story of resilience, and it's a story of the community coming together. It involves a lot of individuals, many who will never be recognized, who contributed and made it happen, so that's what we're trying to recognize and honor and respect,” Zachman emphasizes.

The artwork will be displayed in a few different exhibits in the Greensboro History Museum over the next several months.
