CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Mecklenburg County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board will restore normal hours of liquor stores.

Normal hours are from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. High risk customers are encouraged to shop from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. as there are still concerns over the spread of COVID-19.

The hours were previously limited due to the outbreak. Money from alcohol sales goes back into the community. The board announced Tuesday it donated $750,000 to non-profit organizations in the area for substance abuse education and prevention.
