NORTH CAROLINA -- Fort Bragg could be in line to be renamed because it is named after a Confederate general.
Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy says he's open to holding conversations around renaming Army installations named after Confederate commanders, but the conversation would have to be bipartisan.

This is in response to the murder of George Floyd and a renewed discussion of racism in America. The Marine Corps recently ordered the removal of all Confederate symbolism on its installations.
Fort Bragg is named after Gen. Braxton Bragg who led soldiers at Shiloh and Chattanooga among other battles.
