NORTH CAROLINA — After a weekend of protests, several cities across the state are cleaning up from the destruction while others are reflecting on demonstrations that remained peaceful.
Cities like Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Fayetteville, Asheville, and Greenville all saw peaceful protests turn violent, resulting in the destruction of businesses, cars, and public property.
Durham and Wilmington also saw protests, but they remained calm.
Heading into the work week, protests are expected to continue, which has prompted some areas to put curfews in place.
Raleigh, Greensboro, Fayetteville, and Hoke County each have curfews for 8 p.m.
There has been no information released on curfews in Charlotte.
