CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- "Dollars for Doodles" is a program set up by CMPD Animal Care & Control to raise money for the shelter.
If you make a donation to the shelter, you can submit a copy of the receipt and include a picture of your pet to get a doodle by a staff member.
To get a doodle, make a donation, enter "#DoodleForDollars" in the comment section, and then send a screenshot of your receipt and your pet's photo to accfacebook6@gmail.com.
As of Tuesday May 5, 2020, CMPD Animal Care and Control staff members have made 27 doodles and received $1,095 in donations.
