WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — The principal of Apex Friendship High School is honoring seniors in a special way.

Although the halls are empty, Matt Wright recently took the time to write the names of all the seniors who should have been handed their diplomas in a few weeks on the wall of one of the school’s hallways.

In a video posted to YouTube, Mr. Wright can be seen hand-writing hundreds of names in the mural.

“Whenever anyone asks me about the best part of my job, without hesitation, I answer that it's handing diplomas to graduating seniors,” Wright said.

Wright says he got the idea from a principal in Illinois.
