HIGH POINT, N.C. – A technology company from the Triad has started to distribute thermal imaging cameras that can help detect people who have a fever.

Bryan Kelly, President of Wyn Technologies, Inc., said the demand for thermal cameras is so high because it can be used as a COVID-19 screening device, so they transitioned to distributing this product.

Kelly said they chose to invest in a dual-lens camera. He said one lens is used as the thermal technology, and the other is used as the surveillance camera to detect a person's face and take their temperature to prevent the spread of any virus.

"This works so an employee that's potentially infected with an ailment can't congregate with others to infect them possibly with the same fever,” Kelly said.

Kelly emphasized the goal of this device is to keep people safe and help businesses reopen and stay opened.
