FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The arena and theater in the Crown Complex in Cumberland County will be closing.
- The arena and theater in the Crown Complex in Fayetteville are closing.
- The facilities do not comply with ADA standards.
- They will have to close by October 2022.
According to county commissioners, the arena and the theater parts of the crown complex will be shut down by October 2022 because the facilities are not in ADA compliance. The coliseum and expo center will remain open.
County commissioners have already started looking into options for replacing the facilities.
Spectra Venue Management, which manages the complex for Cumberland County, says it has hired a consultant to conduct a feasibility study and market analysis to replace the theater.
