CARRBORO, N.C. – The place to be for live music this weekend is Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro.

The venue, which has helped local musicians begin their careers, is celebrating its 50^th anniversary with concerts this weekend and the first weekend in January.

“It’s a typical chicken and egg scenario where, would there be a Cat’s Cradle if there weren’t a thriving music scene and would there be a thriving music scene without a cat’s cradle?” Cat’s Cradle General Manager Derek Powers asked.
