WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – While Postmates and Uber Eats have taken the food delivery industry by storm, a Wake Forest University grad has thrown his app into the ring.

  • Swipe By creator has partnered with nonprofit Moji Coffee and More
  • When you use a certain code on the app, you save a dollar and Moji gets a dollar
  • Enter code A8A25 up to 100 times to save and give a dollar

The Wake Forest University graduate created “Swipe By”, a food delivery app, last year.

Recently, he partnered with Moji Coffee and More, a nonprofit that gives jobs to people with intellectual or developmental disabilities. When ordering on the app, simply type in a code and save a dollar. That dollar saved then goes to Moji.

"Anything we do, any funds we get, goes back to our mission of providing meaningful and enriching employment to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. So all the money can be used in such a positive way to grow their jobs, to provide raises, to provide staff appreciation opportunities, training, and things like that," Moji Coffee and More General Manager Natalie Hughes said.

Swipe By is currently only available in the Winston-Salem area, but he hopes to expand his reach to the Raleigh area soon.
