CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Atlantic Coast Conference Football Championship drew thousands to the Queen City this weekend, giving a major boost to the economy.

The Clemson Tigers played the Virginia Cavaliers at Bank of America Stadium.
It marked the 9th time Charlotte hosted the sporting event, which typically draws on average about 70,000 fans.
Charlotte Center City Partners estimates special sporting events attracted more than 250,000 out-of-town visitors to the city this year.
According to the ACC, games will remain in the Queen City through 2030.
