FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Are you wishing you could visit the ghosts of Christmas past? Well the streets of Fayetteville have been transformed into an early 1900s Dickens wonderland for the 20th Annual Dickens Holiday Festival Friday.
- This is the 20th year for the festival
- There are artisans, horse-drawn carriages, and Ebenezer Scrooge himself
- The event runs until 9 p.m.
Fayetteville has gone through a transformation complete with artisans and horse-drawn carriages - even Ebenezer Scrooge made an appearance.
Vicky, Owner of Crafty Rooster, says this event is about community and is a great boost for small businesses.
“This is the Dickens festival they have it annually every year the Friday after Thanksgiving and is great for small business owners it gives us a chance to get our work out into the public interact with the people in town and it’s a lot of fun,” Vicky said.
The festival runs until 9 p.m. and organizers say by closing time, 15,000 to 20,000 people will have visited.
