But there is an artist coming and his name is Billy Joel. Joel will play in Charlotte, Saturday, April 18th next year.
He was actually in Charlotte a few years ago when he played at the Spectrum Center. Joel has a record of selling out stadiums, so Bank of America Stadium thinks he's the perfect person to sell potentially up to nearly 80,000 tickets.

The venue has not been known as a place for live concerts. It's why Carolina Panthers president Tom Glick says times are changing. Panthers owner David Tepper is on board and they're ready to open the floodgates.
“Live music has been high on our list. It's been our priority so I'm excited to announce we're back in the concert business,” Glick said.

“We're excited that Bank of America Stadium is back on the map for artists. We believe Bank of America Stadium will become a must play venue for stadium tours,” Wilson Howard, a Live Nation COO said.
General public tickets for Billy Joel's concert go on sale Friday, October 4 at 10 a.m. Panthers PSL owners can access them even earlier.
