BOONE, N.C. -- A pony has been returned to Turtle Island Nature Preserve after it went missing days ago.

- He was returned two days later

Mountain Men star Eustace Conway says he left Little Joe at a park in Blowing Rock to cut the lawn.
“He's our lawn mower at Turtle Island. We keep him well-fed and he cleans up for us," said Turtle Island Nature Preserve worker Raleigh Avery.
He says when he returned, the pony was missing and a note left on his truck said he was moved to a place with freshwater.
Conway says after contacting deputies his pony was returned two days later.
He says while Little Joe is doing okay, he's concerned about what happened.
"We all have different opinions, different thoughts, different culture and my opinion is I'm responsible for taking care of my horse and I'm not going to tell you how to take care of yours," said Conway.
Deputies say the person who took the horse thought it had been abandoned.
No charges have been filed at this time.
