PAMLICO COUNTY, N.C -- Owner of gun and knife show admits to illegally possessing firearms as a felon.
- The gun store owner is a convicted felon, and admits to illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
- Police seized firearms from both his and his daughter's homes.
- He's facing prison time and fines.
According to the U.S. Attorney Robert Higdon Junior, Sherwood Caraway, 62, of Pamlico County, and owner of S and D Gun and Knife Show, admits to illegally possessing firearms and ammunition as a felon.
Caraway became a convicted felon in 2005 after unlawfully dealing firearms without a license.
Despite being a felon, when the Pamlico County Sheriff's Office raided his home, they found nine firearms and dozens of boxes of ammunition at his home.
Another 33 firearms were seized from Caraway's daughter's home nearby.
He's now facing up to 10 years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines.
