GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Nursing students at UNC Greensboro will soon have a new instructional building.

• UNCG held a topping out ceremony Tuesday.
• Many people signed the final beam of the structure before it was put into place.
• The new nursing building is set to open fall 2020.

School officials and builders held a topping out ceremony for the building Tuesday. Many members of the Spartan family got to leave their mark by signing the building's final beam before it was brought up to the top of the structure.

Topping out ceremonies are often held to symbolize the safe completion of a building’s structure and future success.

The building is slated to open in fall 2020.
