RALEIGH – A Delta flight was forced to make an emergency landing at RDU Airport Monday.
- Delta says the plane was experiencing an engine failure.
- The 148 passengers exited the plane and were put on new flights.
- The engine has been replaced and the plane is returning to the skies today.
The plane was carrying 148 passengers to Baltimore when an engine failed and forced the pilots to ground the plane.
Passengers on board say they were scared for their lives when the news was announced over the plane intercom.
The plane safely landed and the passengers were put on different flights to Baltimore.
Delta says the engine was replaced and its maintenance team is examining what caused the engine issue.
