PRESTONBURG, Ky. - The lights are on and the debris is cleared in Prestonburg, after storms blew through yesterday afternoon.  Mayor Les Stapleton says it appears straight line winds were to blame for the damage to downtown Prestonburg.

The roof of the Hock Shop blew off and came crashing down on a number of cars in the street, killing 62 year-old Michael Coleman who was in one of the cars. Court Street remains closed as crews work to stabilize the building. Stapleton believes the street will reopen Friday.

Other than trees being knocked down, the most serious damage was confined to Court Street. All power has been restored to the area.
