NEWTON, N.C. – For two days now, a home in Catawba County has been decorated with trash and expletive messages targeted at police.
- The homeowner has 15 days to clean up the area and was told to take down the sign immediately.
- She says she has no plans to do what was asked.
- She says she is upset with the Newton Police Department who, according to her, have continuously visited her home for unfounded reasons.
The house sits next to Newton Conover High School and buses pass by it daily. Police have told the homeowner she is in violation of city ordinances.
She has 15 days to clean up the trash, and was told to take the sign down immediately; however, she told us off camera, she wasn't going to.
She says this act is not against her neighbors, nor the city. She's upset with the Newton Police Department who, according to her, have continuously visited her home for unfounded reasons.
Neighbors say a man moved in a couple months ago and say there have been issues at the home.
