CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- NASCAR's national touring series make for long seasons.

The Gander Outdoor Truck Series is no exception. It's a tough business.  It's demanding.  Especially for a driver with just 19 career starts between the trucks and Xfinity series.

Angela Ruch is plugging away inspired by her uncle, 1990 Daytona 500 champ, Derrike Cope.

Ruch is balancing her budding racing career with being a fulltime mom. She and her husband, Mike, adopted a baby boy, King, adding more responsibilities to an already full calendar. She is not unlike her male counterparts with children, but she's the only mom out there on the grind.

As if motherhood and racing weren't enough, Ruch will be starring in her own reality show, The Ruch Life, giving viewers a look into her life as a driver, and a long last, an adoptive parent.
