RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. –  A new tobacco ban took effect this month in Randolph County.

  • All tobacco use is now banned on Randolph County property.
  • The ban includes e-cigs.
  • The violation is a $50 fine.

The ban prohibits tobacco use of any kind on county property including cigarettes, chewing tobacco, and e-cigarettes.

Commissioners passed the ordinance in late February citing public health concerns.

The county installed signs on all of its properties to remind people of the ban.

If you’re caught violating the ban, you could receive a $50 fine.
