CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A settlement has been reached in a lawsuit filed by customers after a scare permanently shut down a Hardee's restaurant in west Charlotte last year.
Reported in 2018:
- Customers file class action lawsuit against Hardee's following Hepatitis A outbreak
- Thousands receive Hepatitis A vaccine following possible outbreak at Hardee's
Last June, the health department announced that a worker at the Hardee's had tested positive for Hepatitis A. Customers who had recently eaten there were advised to get vaccinations.
The class action lawsuit was filed against Hardee's, citing the expense and inconvenience, as well as stress over any possible infection.
Each person will receive a share of $246,000.
