Henry Avocado Corporation is pulling its California-grown avocados, both conventional and organic.
North Carolina is one of six states the company shipped to since it began packaging at a California plant.
The recall only applies to the company's California-grown avocados, not ones it imported from Mexico.
California is listed as the origin on the produce sticker and you'll also notice the conventionally grown ones have the Bravocado label.
If you've bought any of the avocados included in the recall, you can throw them out or return to the store for a refund.
There haven't been any reports of illness linked to the fruit so far.
